Our Story
The founder of Gastronomy City Tours brings an extensive background in travel and tourism.
With over 30 years as a travel agent in her family-owned business, Destinations Unlimited Travel, she has traveled the globe, experiencing amazing food, culture, history, and traditions from countless cities and countries. These experiences, combined with her love of culture and amazing food, allowed her to create unforgettable vacation packages for her clients, sharing recommendations that brought these incredible moments to life.
While still working as a travel agent, she decided to expand her knowledge of wine and food pairings by becoming a tour guide in Napa Valley, California. As a guide in Napa and Sonoma Valley, she conducted wine tours, leading guests through the stunning wine valley regions, sharing her knowledge over selected wine and food pairings. These tours included taking up to fifteen guests to four wineries a day to enjoy world-class wines and exquisite food pairings, and enjoying a picnic lunch with the most amazing vistas of the valleys. She also earned her WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) certification from the Napa Valley Wine Academy to be able to gain deeper knowledge on wine and food pairings to share with her guests.
After relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and spending part of her time living in Italy with her Italian husband, her love of food, culture, and tradition continued to grow. Inspired by these experiences, she founded Gastronomy City Tours to share her passion for great food, history, and culture with others.
